Ann Acheson "Full Circle" (poem)
Part one
Spirit is never far away
She knew this. She, new
in the world. Eyes wide
open. Receiving with Spirit
holding her hand. She
finds the beings who will
love her; who will see her.
She know her wonder-
full-ness as no separation
from her one-ness with
Spirit, with Love.
Part two
She is seen as a project-ion.
Spirit takes form of someone
not close by. Someone in heaven.
A guy god. Jesus. If
I believe in Jesus, I will
be saved; I will be o.k.
If I follow the rules of
behavior, I will be in His
family. I will be good, for
I do not want to be kicked
out of the family. But can
I be good enough?I am the project-ion
of myself to be good enough.
I send my project-ion out
into the world; am I good enough?
Tell me I am wonderful.
Part three
She remembers.
She feels Spirit close by.
She feels her wonder-full-ness
as wholeness replaces project-ion. She has
her dear old women whom
she still feels witnessing,
holding, reminding her
that she is whole, holy;
not separate from Spirit.
