Northfield Talent Show Coordinator
The
Ta1ent Show Coordinator is responsib1e for:
1.
Signing up a11 participants throughout the week.
It
is recommended that the Coordinator have a sign-up sheet in Gould Ha11 outside
the Cafeteria and maybe carry a clipboard for entering names.
2.
Determining the order of the acts and entering the performer's name and
type/name of act on a flip chart that can be posted at the entrance to the
Performance Hall.
(NOTE:
every attempt should be made to have the youngest chi1dren perform first, or at
1east, within the first hour.)
3.
Coordinate with the Technical Director for the sound system and microphone
set-up.
4.
Delegate assistants for setting up the chairs in the Ha1l. These "stage
hands" may need to help set up for certain acts. (Those Crazy
Canucks!)
5.
Assign a Master of Ceremonies (MC) for the event. The MC is responsible for
moving acts along at a good pace.
The
talent show is typically 2-2.5 hours long, starting at 8: 00 PM. If each act is
5 minutes, there's time for approximate1y 30 acts. (We've had more without too
much of an overrun).
6.
Having a lot of fun!
